Land Design Featured in Fall 2009 Luxury Pools Magazine
Land Design is pleased to announce that it has been featured once again in Luxury Pools Magazine. The article, titled 'Exceptional Environment', appears on pages 146-147 of the magazine, and highlights another beautiful custom outdoor living environment designed and built by the award winning Land Design team.
Old Fashioned Barn Raising - July 9-11
Come out and join us for an old-fashioned barn raising in the Texas Hill Country! Land Design is hosting the event, in collaboration with Texas Timber Frames,
premier artisans in heavy timber construction since 1988. The barn is being raised at 209 Red Oak Rd, Boerne TX.   We will be there from 10am-6pm Thursday, July 9 through Saturday, July 11.   Food and drink will be provided.   We look forward to seeing you there!
Pool & Spa News
Land Design was a recent recipient of the prestigious “Masters of Design.” Chosen by a panel of industry professionals Land Design was one of seven ‘artists’ to be chosen internationally in the Concrete Pools division. Showroom
Almost complete! Land Design’s outdoor showroom is in the final stages now. Our “Outdoor Living Environment.” displays a swimming pool with multiple finishes, tiles, features as well as an outdoor kitchen featuring granite countertops and an array of appliances. The kitchen is adjoined with a true masonry fireplace and overhead structure made of exposed cedar beams and standing seam metal roof. Also on display at our showroom, are over 15 different architectural concrete finishes, a multitude of flagstone examples, tiles, grills, plaster finishes, plant material, pottery, statuary, etc. To view pictures please visit our ‘Showroom’ section or stop by and see us.
World of Concrete
Mike Logsdon, President of Land Design will be featured in the L.M. Scofield booth lecturing on ‘Design of Architectural Concrete. The show runs Jan. 22-25, 2008 @ the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.
GSABA-Associate Member of the Month
Land Design was recently recognized as the “Associate Member of the Month,” by the Greater San Antonio Builders Association, for their role in the design/implementation of ‘Life on the 18th Green.’ This was the focal feature for the San Antonio Builders Showcase inside the Alamo dome. Land Design worked with the three featured home builders and designed a plan to bring cohesiveness to the three different concepts and styles while still allowing them to showcase their products and allow participants to interact within the display on the putting greens, alongside the waterfalls and creeks, and inside the outdoor kitchens and overhead structures.
Engineering Lecture
Hosting in conjunction with SCP (South Central Pool Supply) of San Antiono. Land Design recently brought in Neil O. Anderson of Neil O. Anderson and Associates of California to lecture local pool designers and contractors of the essential elements involved in the engineering of pool structures. Topics included soil types, steel specifications, shotcrete applications and standards, decking process and presented a number of case studies.
